You Need to Drink Water SO… You Need a Water Filter!

Someone I know uses the slogan "Use a Water Filter or BE a Filter" I realized as I started writing my first post on this water blog that folks who don't have a  water filter might start getting a little scared or paranoid as they learn the facts about water.  But it is not my intention to freak anyone out.   Fear never helps.  Action does.

So here's the deal, as you learn more about why you need to drink enough water, and why just any water really isn't the answer, and can even hurt you, I recommend you buy a water filter right away if you can.  You can get a really inexpensive one for over the counter for $99 or less.  I recommend the Aquasana Counter Top and you will see a link to 3 distributors which have them at on sale by clicking on water filters.

But look, if you can't buy a water filter right now, and if you are like me who already bought a reverse osmosis (R.O.) here's what you do.  If you are going to buy bottle water, you might want to think twice.  I am doing some research on the bottle water issue myself, and will soon have some good articles up for you.

So what do you do then?  Well, consider that for the amount of money you spend on your bottled water you can buy the $99 Aquasana water filter, so there is a solution for you, once you save your money to buy it.

Ok, for the moment what do you do, if you can't buy it right now.. First, don't be overly concerned, just so you know you are going to handle the situation.  Secondly, here is some advice that comes from a doctor who wrote the Water Cure.  Put your water in a container and leave over night so the chlorine and other gases can evaporate, and they will evaporate.  At the very least here, you will have water that is safer to drink.

The next thing to do, and this is also very important --critical--for R.O. owners, add a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt to the water to make it naturally akaline and also to add the right minerals back to the water.

The salt has to be some kind of complete salt without all the minerals taken out.    The easiest and best salt I know of is Celtic Sea Salt and you can order it online or buy it at the health food store.  Your body needs salt BUT NOT sodium, which is what the table salt you use contains, and if you use sea salt, well, if it's white, it ain't got the minerals any more   So don't fool yourself.

To be honest, I have been using the Celtic Sea Salt with my R.O. water filter, and I am going to replace it was an Aquasana as soon as I can.  But in the meantime I am going to be more diligent about the sea salt.  It's just a pinch in a liter of water.

If you don't have a water filter, consider the inexpensive Aquasana, which I actually think is on sale right now at several of the websites I checked out.

Click on => water filters to check out the sale and if you have $99 bucks, buy it today, because I think they are offering free shipping and a big discount till the end of the month.  I have $500 invested in my R.O., if not I would be running over there myself--I mean surfing over there myself.
